ICC Twenty20 World Cup 2014
ICC Twenty20 World Cup or T20 world cup or ICC world T20 is the international championship of T20 cricket which is becoming very popular now a days. It is organised by cricket’ governing body, International Cricket Council-ICC. T20 tournament consists of 12 teams, comprising all 10 ICC full members and two other ICC members who have been selected through the ICC world T20 qualifier. The Event is generally held every 2 years and it is Internationally recognized.
Ranking is marked by this format:* Higher number of points,
* Higher number of wins, if point is equal.
* Higher Net-Run rate, if both point and win are equal,
* Lower bowling strike rate is considered, if the above is equal,
* Result of head to head meeting, if the above is still equal.
ICC Twenty20 World Cup 2014
If there is Tie, a Super Over system will be considered. if the result is Tie again in Super Over, the Team will win the match who have most sixes in that total match. This is the system for all matches in T20 world cup.Win=2 points, No results/tie= 1 point, Loss= 0 point will be considered during the group stage and Super 10.
It is to be noted that all Test playing nations will be counted to T20 and the remaining places filled by other ICC members through qualification tournament.
The event of ICC Twenty20 world cup in 2014 will be held in Bangladesh. And the next event in 2016 will be hosted by India. The 2014 ICC World Twenty20 is the 5th T20 competition which will be taken place in Bangladesh from 16th March to 6th April, 2014. Three cities Dhaka, Chittagong and Sylhet will manage to successfully complete the event in Bangladesh.
Last Year on 6th April, ICC unveiled the logo of the Tournament at a gala event in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The whole look of the logo design is initially inspired by the unique Bangladesh Decoration Art Style. Here it has been designed by the colors of the Bangladeshi flag with spashes of blue representing the country’s rivers, it is also the ICC’s own colour. Watch T20 on Online TV
